I took CX835 & 836 last year in July & August.The outbound flight was 100% loaded.I remembered this because an old couple was upgraded to F at the gate but the guy was not happy when he found out that he could not sit with his wife on board(it was a 34C) .He even demanded an upgrade for the return flight.The poor inflight manager tried her best to calm down the old man. We watched this amusing scene on the front cabin of J and I just couldn't stop laughing.I almost choked while drinking the welcome drink

As for return, the flight was also fully booked(at least in J).And this time a lucky person was upgraded to F on the next flight which was CX889 from JFK.A lucky person he isSo I suppose CX888 should be full in all classes(inc. upgrade to F) and the same goes to your return flight
