Hmmm, the same thing happened to me. I had a reservation at the NY Hilton @ a rate of 279.00 and was hoping for a "gold" upgrade to the exec level. A week before leaving, I checked the website again and there was a 219.00 rate for the exec level that had previously been priced at $359.!! I just made the reservation and then promptly cancelled the other one. The executive level lounge was enjoyable. It is really beneficial to check the rate before checking in.
