KVW Newb here. Downloaded the tool earlier today and registered as a lite user mainly so I could look up the pax loads on my upcoming flights. The "lite" registration only allows me the use of
WSPAN: Availability/ITN method. I'm assuming WSPAN is yet another reservation system like Sabre/Apollo/Galleleo.
A two part query so please bear with me.
Following is the availability displayed by KVS for my flights.
[KVS Availability Tool 5.0.1/Lite - WSpan: Availability/ITN/US-WOT]
Code:
SYD Sydney Kingsford Smith NS AU [YSSY]
BOM Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji IN [VABB]
TUE 07 Jul 2009
Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Availability
--------- ------ ---- -------- ---- -------- --- -- --------------------------------------------
CX 138 SYD 21:55 HKG 05:25 +1 330 0 J9 C9 D9 I9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O0
-> CX 685 HKG 14:15 +1 BOM 18:05 +1 330 0 J9 C9 D9 I9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O0
Does this mean that CX188 and CX685 both have the same number of available seats? That seems a bit wrong to me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, Looking up the segments individually, it seems that CX138 Departing SYD on 7th July looks like this
[KVS Availability Tool 5.0.1/Lite - WSpan: Availability/ITN/US-WOT]
Code:
SYD Sydney Kingsford Smith NS AU [YSSY]
HKG Hong Kong Int'l HK [VHHH]

While CX685 from HKG to BOM on 8th July looks like this
[KVS Availability Tool 5.0.1/Lite - WSpan: Availability/ITN/US-WOT]
Code:
HKG Hong Kong Int'l HK [VHHH]
BOM Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji IN [VABB]

CX 685 HKG 14:15 BOM 18:05 330 0 J9 C9 D9 I9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S5 N9 Q9 O5
So, does this mean that -
1. CX138 departing SYD on 7th July has
135 vacant seats available across both business and economy?
2. CX685 departing HKG on 8th July has
127 vacant seats available across both business and economy?
Experts, Help.
