We have always been upgraded to at least the Executive Floor at this hotel, but I must admit that the check in staff in the lobby are not particularly charming.

Twice we have stayed there with our son and were upgraded to a suite once. It was quite pleasant.

They only allowed diamonds in the Executive Lounge when we were there, but the lounge did have a nice breakfast and cocktail hour. Actually the folks in the lounge were much more accommodating and charming than the staff at the front desk. As a Diamond, I might consider checking in at the lounge rather than the lobby desk.
