Spec's liquor stores, headquartered in Houston, has great selection. Their store near downtown Houston is "the largest liquor store" in Texas. You also get a cash discount. There are so many liquor stores and wine shops in Texas I find the prices to be good. Better than what I have seen in Oklahoma or New Mexico for example.

If you have access, the "Class VI" or other AAFES liquor stores available on military bases are very nice, and there is no sales tax.

I went to a Total Wine in Florida and Deleware and they had a large selection and their sales prices were quite good on my import wines.

Ciao,
