I don't think I'll have a chance for LGA-IAH, but my IAH-DEN is the last flight of the day and I might have a chance.
Unfortunately, full Y fares are only upgradable for elites. You will not be on the upgrade list on a full Y fare. You may higher on the list if an opup opportunity arises, but those are fairly rare and should not be counted upon.
