When I check into CY,FI or TP, they are excellent and the verbal recognition is almost embarassing. I check into a FI in Tucson last month as they had a little menu board on a stand and it said "thank you to our Plat members for staying with us" then it listed all the Plat members staying there that night.
Marriott should take a lesson from FI^
You must be staying at the wrong FS properties. I have gotten decent treatment at the FS properties that I have stayed at in the past few months (my old favorites in the DC Area and a few new ones on the West Coast).
