I've been able to fly TATL to SE Asia for the last 2 years. The mileage requirement is a bit higher - 80K/120K/160K miles. You can't return via the Pacific, as that would turn your award ticket into a RTW.

I've found it pretty easy to find F and C tickets (StarNet blocking withstanding) on UA and LH. The downside is that you'll probably have a long layover in FRA or MUC.
