LOL!!! You too huh? I thought I was the only one that did that. LOL.

Usually at 6:00AM during the week most of your fellow travelers are frequent flyers, so it's not really a problem. It's almost second nature to us to get in to the correct lane and follow lane etiquette.

Between 8:00AM Friday through late Sunday night however, it's a whole other ball game. It's the only time I'll see a mother (with giant back pack full of teddy bears and cheerios) facing backwards coaxing her two year old to walk towards her, instead of picking the kid up while I'm barreling down on them at full speed. Worse still is when the child does arrive to mama but the mother just holds the child's hand instead of picking them up to get out of the way. Then it becomes a matter of WALKERS etiquette. Do I stomp a little to give the impression I'm in a hurry? Do I clear my throat? Do I just stop and wait? Or do I step over the kid and try not to steam roll it with my carryon?

I forget which airport has the obscenely long moving walkway but about a month ago I had just stepped on to it (running very late) when the parents 40 feet in front of me with three walking children, took two other kids out of their arms and set them down while WATCHING me haul ... towards them. They looked at me like "where you gonna go now buddy" and didn't pull their kids in (two of whom were sitting on their little pink rollers). WIth another 200 feet to go, I just put my roller on my shoulder and stepped right over the kids while growling "STAND ON THE RIGHT" and kept on my merry way.

The one escalator I hated most was the one down to the shuttles at CVG B I think. There is a very small "lobby" at the bottom and the smart people would form a line back down along the escalator and windows. One in three times however, you'd get a handful of people in front of you who would get to the bottom, see the line, but just stand at the bottom of the escalator while you and a dozen people behind you had nowhere to go but right in to the back of them and start a domino effect. Always a good time that was.
