That "tunnel" is actually about 40 feet up in the air
. And yes, they will accomodate you without discussion. These "flight tickets" are based on a flexible (not ´train fixed´) DB fare which allows you to hop on the next available ICE train, if you miss the one you are booked on or whatever.
