regarding Moscow - plan on staying in moscow until you get your bags. officially, they can deliver bags to you, but recently customs regulations have been tightened. if you want a bag delivered to you outside the airport, you have to make a list with absolutely everything in your bag down to the last pair of underwear. when the bag arrives, customs opens it and compares the content to your list. if anything is off, you will have to come back to the airport to resolve. i don't know if they would deliver the bag to another country. i doubt it. i just went through this 2 weeks ago when my bag didn't make my flight and arrived the next day. i went back to the airport to pick it up.
