IME, when tix have been issued using vouchers of Type B, or Type A/B, the named pax is the one who would get any residual value or who would get the value of the refunded tix. This is why it is SOMETIMES difficult to ticket vouchers for friends/relatives.
Therefore, it seems to me that you're fine with changes made, but you may wish to check with UA prior to making them.
