Y pitch on SQ is NOT equivalent to UA E+, except in "premium economy," which your award is doubtless not good on. Entertainment system on SQ is much better than UA. While on average, SQ's soft product in C and F is much better than UA's, I have had mediocre service from those "sub-30s 5* concierge" FAs on occasion -- even in long haul F.

This is Y. Minimize the damage. Y on SQ is still Y. The only significant advantage SQ has over UA is IFE. (And, if IFE is important to you, that is a major league advantage.)

Food? It's airline food, people. I've had inedible crap on SQ, too. If food is really that important, then take your own.
