All 3 jetways were not well kept...smelly, bad/stained/worn/torn carpeting...just not a good appearance at all.
Not only am I certain the jetways in PVD aren't air conditioned, I'm 99.8% certain they haven't been cleaned or maintained for their physical appearance in 3 or 4 years...maybe longer.
And they are the only jetways I think I've ever been on that don't have logo's, branding or desitination posters of some type.
Then again...why would the company focus on something so trivial?
Jetway upkeep and maintenance is in most cases not something the airlines have any control over. Its quite common that the airport authority of each airport is responsible for the jetway. So while US or any airline for that matter might have some input on jetway condition, its not most of the time something they can control.
