More than likely the crew ATL-LAX will be different than the one LAX-SYD - I don't think they could work the scheduling out any other way. And if you turn around and go right back SYD-LAX on that same plane the crew would get a day there - so if the flight departs SYD on the same day it arrives it won't be the same crew.
