The only meaningful numbers, IMHO, would be to match yield (and perhaps unit revenue) on routes where airlines actually compete. The fact that US and WN's yields are about the same systemwide doesn't tell me much about whether pax will pay more to fly one airline over the other.
Realizing of course, speaking anything ill or otherwise interpreted as "less than positive" here in our little community regarding US Airways is a sin, I will say this: I will pay more to fly others...and frequently do.

I'll take it one step further...on routes where WN or CO and US compete with US...we don't even ask our professional travel manager to price US Airways....meaning, we may very well be paying more or paying less. We have no idea.

Purely annectdotal...and I'm but one company...but it would be foolish to imagine I'm alone.

Not bashing US...not "hating US," simply communicating what we do...and there are reasons around that, none of which have to do with past experiences.
