You could meet at the Airport Limousine counter. I've done this with colleagues and it worked out quite well. If you go to the website, there is a picture of what the counter looks like. Not too far away from them is some shopping and cafe's. So, if you're getting there first you can sit at something right nearby having a coffee/whatever all the while keeping your eye out for your friend and then buy tickets for the next bus together.
