Has anyone ever done this? Is the train ticket a standard fare or special fare that is exclusive for that time only. My question is if I am ready to go early can I jump on an earlier train. .bomb is showing it as a W fare. Also I assume no miles for the train, but .bomb show a LH flight number and a train seat map. Any advice would help.
I doubt it, I never bought a LH train ticket before, so I am not sure what kind of train ticket you get. But my experience with DBahn is unless you are paying full fare ticket, you cannot just get on any train you want.

You might want to check out this thread, apparently LH do give points to MP member. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...erated-db.html
