If by 'trip planning' you mean recommendations and such... don't even bother. They'll fax you a Googled list of hotels and restaurants. If you know exactly where you want to stay, what you want to visit, where you want to eat and you have all the details at hand, then send them the details and they'll make the appropriate reservations. Don't expect any benefits either.

Amex is a little better at this sort of thing, but not by much. A dedicated travel agent is your best bet.
