The 2009 North America Airline Satisfaction Study measures customer satisfaction of both business and leisure travelers with major North American carriers. The study is based on responses from more than 12,900 passengers who flew on a major North American airline between April 2008 and May 2009. The study was fielded between May 2008 and May 2009.
The top traditional network carriers in overall satisfaction are Alaska, Continental, and Delta.

The top low cost carriers in overall satisfaction are JetBlue, Southwest, and WestJet.

You can click on the arrow at the top of each category and see the carriers in descending and ascending order.

FWIW, US and UA are at the bottom of all seven categories and overall satisfaction, with AA and NW just slightly better.
