I don't think any of the non-Delta people present besides Mrs. Gargoyle and myself even knew who she was.
It was a botched marketing opportunity. But then, I think marketing is one of DL's weak points. They should hire a half dozen FT'ers to take over that department!
I disagree. She's a liability for wagging her finger at paying customers. Also, her Atlanta accent does not help Delta shed it's image of a Southern airline.
I also think Marketing is something Delta does pretty well compared to any of the other airlines. (Sky 360 in NY, sponsorship of high profile events, suite at Sundance film fest, consistent use of clean logo with the "up" type, roll-out of the new uniforms, etc.)
