So what are you? Not loyal, loyal or profitable loyal to NW/DL?

Read an interesting article in the 6/22 Wall Street Journal (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB2000...326829628.html) titled "Why a Loyal Customer Isn't Always a Profitable One".

Bottom line it states that in their research information a very large percentage of loyal customers - often more than 50%- are not profitable for most companies, because their loyalty is driven largely by expectations of great deals.

Made me wonder how some of you all feel about being loyal to NW/DL. Are you profitable for NW/DL?

I believe that even though I may not fly the highest priced ticket that IF I do fly them on a regular basis (I am PE) that I am loyal to NW/DL and profitable to them because I have not taken my money elsewhere.

So am I a Profitable Loyal to NW/DL? Maybe maybe not.
Do I expect too much in return? No, I want fare value for my loyalty and had come to expect certain things that are now no longer, Thus I am less loyal to NW/DL this year as I have been flying other airlines more.
