If the LUT restriction remains, the web site should come out and say that.
I can't understand why they would retain the LUT restriction. It limits the potential market for the sold upgrades (OK... maybe demand exceeds the supply). Usually such restrictions are intended to incentivize purchase of higher fare classes... but they can't possibly imagine that someone is going to buy-up to a higher fare on the oft chance that a gate purchased upgrade might be available.
Where is the downside to DL if they did away with the LUT restriction?
