Of course, this allows me to add more Q-miles to my account. And this is great...I guess.
Am I the only one to do such crazy thing? My collegues seams to think I am crazy, but they all envy me when I get free upgrade (like this friday), trip, etc.
He he he... there was a time when many of us were trying to squeeze in 16-20 segments on flights from YOW to CUN (Cancun). Typical routings were YOW-YYZ-YWG-YEG-YYC-YVR-SFO-LAX-MEX-CUN, then back the same way. There was a "segments" bonus on at the time -- segments 1-4 regular points, 5-8 double points, 9-12 triple points, and segments 13 on earned quadruple points. As well there was a 2X status mile bonus on at the same time.
Oh, and we were on business/first class tickets, that we paid about CAD$1200 for.
Some of us are a little more hard core, and like our extra points in big chunks. Flying to SYD for a day is not uncommon.
