AA also offers off-peak awards to Europe and South America for 40K, something that UA does not offer (off peak to Europe runs mid-October to mid-May, so a pretty long season). Additionally, One World awards which are mileage based and allow up to 16 stops on one ticket are something AA offers that UA does not.
