All Airlines should sell premium eco..
Premium Economy, World Traveller Plus, Economy Plus. All these products offer more or less similar services - more leg room and seat width without the huge price of business/first.
But yet only a very small number of airlines offer these services. In fact many Airports across the US have absolutely no airlines flying in with premium economy.
Now this just confuses me. So you take one row of seats out of your aircraft, increase the legroom for the 6x rows behind it, and split the cost equally (with a small mark-up).
The airlines gain:
- Passengers shopping for Economy+ Seats (including tall, large, or comfort seeking)
- No fuel cost on the missing row's bags (even though you're charging the equivalent of fuel cost to the six rows)
- Less passenger/seat weight (the missing row doesn't weight anything)
- No insurance cost of that missing row
- More repeat business
Discount Economy = $1000
Economy+ = ($1000 * 1.166) = $1166
Discount Economy Legroom = 31" (pitch)
Economy+ = 36"
People should have CHOICE. If anyone from the Airlines, particularly Delta or AA is reading - I will book with you if you add Economy+.
