You stuck up know it all non Americans want to criticize us about ambiguity? A kilo could be a kilogram, kilometer, kilowatt, kilovolt, ect. So your "real weight" is what? Kilogram?

I love SI, but have no problem working with Imperial units either. You can't even take the extra second and a half to type out kilogram so you are probably too lazy to memorize even basic conversion constants. You have no room to cry about ambiguity.
