The computer does what the computer does - normally when there is a change of plane types even by accident (e.g. someone changes plane type and then corrects it back). No notification is nothing new by the post on this post. Have had it myself.

BA's get out is that this is a seat request not the guarantee seat you will have so they can move you around anyway.
Update: Completely sorted by a rather charming lady with a scots accent on the EC helpline who seemed as puzzled as I was as to why that should have happened.. Back in our original seats. Great work BA!
