Is this a fluke with expert flyer? Are there really that many people flying out of Boston (from the sounds of it around here - all the airlines are hurting bad!)? Should I just give up?
I have been flying to the west coast weekly for several years and I can attest that the capacity cutbacks have had a real impact (not sure about you situation but generally). I was on a DL flight to SLC then on to LAX last week on a Tuesday and it was oversold. They are getting very good at projecting volume and reacting with equipment and schedule changes. Try flying out of MHT if you do not mind connecting in DTW. Only a couple of flights a day but I have got a few very good deals to LAX and SFO. I just booked a RT FC ticket for this Thurs LAX-MHT returning Friday (very full flights with the long weekend) for $720.00
