Anybody hear anything about this new property supposed to open sometime this fall? I noticed a billboard on I-35 in Austin mentioning a new HI to open "downtown Austin Fall of 2002."

It seems it will be 18 story property with over 200 rooms near the newly renovated Convention Center. It's being developed by Valencia Hotel Corp. out of Houston. That's all the info I've been able to find anywhere.

Additionally, there is a great new Hilton right next to the convention center scheduled to open January 2004. It's interesting to see that in addition to 800 guest rooms and the largest hotel ballroom in town, it will also have a few private residences on the top 5 floors.
