Bodom27, no disrespect, but the naivete with which you are approaching the subject has me baffled. You are probably young or your parents wouldn't be there anymore to give you money. Why would you travel for years without doing anything else when you are young? I mean go and study! Find a job! Travel for one year. Make a fantastic round the world trip for $50,000.

Seriously, it is going to look bad on a job resume if you say age 20-24 I just traveled the world. It will look much better if you can say I have a degree in X from European university Y and speak two foreign languages. And that is precisely what you could do with that kind of money.

In Europe many universities would not even make you pay much, so you'd save money on tuition in the states. With that kind of money you can study around seven years in Europe without needing to work. I mean most students live of less than $1-2k per month even in Germany where live is rather expensive. So you could like buy a small studio in Berlin, learn German, study there till you get your MA and come back to build up on that in the US.

Also, if you have a US passport why do you want to emigrate to Europe? I mean, I know Europe is better , but it's not that much better.
