This is fairly timely for me although, as Raffles points out, the article makes no real attempt to distinguish which schemes are better for different types of credit card spending and/or miles-earning patterns.
I am about to hit my £10k 2-4-1 BA Amex threshold and now have 3 options I have thought of for my credit card spend to the end of my BA Amex-year:
* Keep using the BA Amex to rack up more BA miles (not a bad option for me because there will come a time soon when I will be fairly miles poor as I don't earn huge amounts of miles through flying).
* As in previous years, switch to using my BMI Mastercard for BMI miles (although I've got the required number I need for planned trips so it would probably need a big boost to get more trips).
* Open another reward/cashback card - any thoughts on which additional cards may be worth considering?
Are there any pros/cons (other than my personal miles need under each scheme etc) of the above options?
