Anyone can pre-select seats when booking through finnair.com. Keep an eye for the "Select seats" link while still in the booking process. Non-AY members cannot select or change seats online afterwards.

Your choice of seats depends on the fare bucket. For cheapest Y flights (at least within Europe) you get to choose from the rear of the plane and can then try to move forward at OLCI.
