On many airplanes, you can not stand up straight in the cockpit. If someone needs to take a break from sitting for a few minutes they have to do it outside of the cockpit.
And they are welcome to do so, but there is no need to block the lavs for that. The lavs are blocked because the cockpit door could be open, the pilot is not entitled to "protection" simply because he is wandering through the plane.
This thoughtless behavior is a clear example of a lack of understanding of customer service.
