Ok - so I've got this friend (isn't this how they all start out). She could use a ticket to Europe on short notice (bereavement situation). She's got no money, and I've got tons of miles. I've never booked an int'l award ticket, much less on short notice. Can someone msg (or post back to this thread) me info on what the possibilities are?

I can tell you United does not fly direct to where she needs to go. So this would be a *A award ticket I guess. Please let me know if you need more info. I'm not trying to hide the destination, I actually don't know it yet, but I know it's not in Italy, Switzerland, Germany or westwards.
