Five grand is all you get for enduring a near-death experience? You have the "pleasure" of watching your children and spouse fall out of the sky and expect to die, and you can't even get your counseling sessions paid-for?
What's it worth, to think that you are about to see your children die?
What, do you think she's trying to rip-off the airline? For extra counseling sessions? She's not asking for a new car and house, she wants counseling for her family. That does not seem out of line, given what they went through.
And don't respond with "Too bad her deductible is so high." I really don't think that matters. Even uninsured passengers should get their counseling paid for.
