i spent something like 45,000 on an economy award down to south america on continental, because i had moved and changed to new primary carrier... wanted to deplete points

1) 35$ booking fee
2) changed to open jaw... 150$ fee
3) missed return flight, 150$ fee

spent 45,000 pts and 350$ on economy flight.

i could have spent <500$ and atleast accrued EQM/RDM on revenue flight
