Just had a stay there a couple of nights ago and I have to say it was probably the nicest stay I've ever had at a HI. It's been open a year now but looks spanking new. The front desk staff, am and pm, were very friendly and helpful. When I asked for directions to a downtown restaurant the girl immediately went to the computer and printed out Google directions for me.
The breakfast area is large and pleasant, although the food offered is about par for a HI.
One oddity about this hotel is the indoor pool has a two-story spiral waterslide, so its a pleasant surprise for the kids.
