Are you flying Exec Class?

Air Canada doesn't offer meals in North American Y, just Buy on Board.

If it is J class, when you book your ticket the "Review Flight Details screen before you book shows the meals offered. The lack of a dollar sign next to the knife and fork means that the meal is free. There is an M next to knife and fork which means something - someone else well let you know. The website doesn't define it:
