That is what I am saying - I can use those 100,000 miles from my MIL to fly my husband 1st class to Europe or maybe towards a ticket to Asia (although it seems hard to find the saver fares) and fly along with him with our combined miles, and just pay $778 for an economy flight to Michigan (which is ridiculous in itself). But I guess it would be up to my husband to talk sense to her and I don't see that happening. And I can't just go and ask her to buy him a ticket to BKK or CDG or anything, as that would be awkward. So frustrating.
