On a recent trip to Europe...

I rented cars from both Hertz(in UK) and Sixt(in Germany) and had very satisfactory experience with them both...

However I found the miles accrued by em to be a big difference for same number of days hired though different vehicle class.

3 days for a VW Passat Estate 2.0 Diesel at 385GBP(about 70 for Damage Waiver) from Hertz.

3 days for a BMW 1 Series Auto Coupe(Upgraded to 1 Series 118i Convertible) at 210 Euros(declined Damage Waiver)

for the Hertz vehicle I got, HERTZ CAR RENTAL ACTIVITY 200miles

while for the Sixt vehicle I got, SIXT CAR RENTAL 500miles + SIXT DOUBLE MILES 500miles

just wondering what is with the great difference in miles given? though I do appreciate the discounts offered as a result of their partnership with United.
