The "very senior DL FA" was very wrong.
They should certainly know that NW FAs
cannot work DL routes and DL FAs cannot work NW routes. Yet.
There could not have been any management catering to the NW FAs.
Lesson: do not always believe what you hear, even if someone in a uniform is telling it to you.
