Buying a membership would not make sense for me. I only fly between JFK and SEA, which qualifies me for access to the SC when I score the upgrade. If I bought day passes every time that I missed the upgrade, I would end up spending only $200.00 - $250.00 a year. Sure, I could have bought a day pass yesterday, the point is that I did not need to due to the qualifying flight but was denied access anyway.
