I was expecting my BA CW flight to be better. The seat was much better - but I think the food, and amenity kit and to a smaller extent the service were subpar to CO's. When we got on board in LHR we were greeted by the BF concierge, with our connecting gate info, as well as by the head FA. We were also thanked before we landed.

Now, on the ground side BA was definitely better (other than our CO escort). The BA galleries lounges at heathrow (T5)are uncomparable to others in my opinion, even though the new Skyteam lounge in T4 is pretty nice (and both are much better than the PC in newark). Our baggage handling seemed a little better on BA (bags were out by the time we got to the baggage claim) and the BA agent escorted us through security in DEL and to the lounge. It will interesting to see how the new CO product will make the experience on the 777.

Plus, at least on the 6./11 flight, the DEQM plus UK mile bonus made it winner no matter what.
