Hi all! My fiance and I will be getting married this November and are celebrating our honeymoon in Argentina. We will spend four nights in BA and then five nights in MDZ before heading home. I read this entire thread today and I feel like I have a much clearer idea of what to expect in Mendoza but I still have a couple general questions (and requests for opinions). First off, a little bit of background: we have done a fair amount of traveling in Europe and the US but nothing in S. America. We both enjoy wine a lot but are not aficionados ("winos" would be a more accurate descriptor). We want our time in Mendoza to be relaxing and would like to do a lot of good eating and drinking. So, onto the questions.

First off, where should we stay? We want something interesting (read: non-chain), but still modern and somewhat higher end. Basically, we want the Cavas Lodge but cannot afford it (I told them that we would have to come back to Cavas for an anniversary). Here is what I am looking at:

Casa Margot
Finca Adalgisa
Robles de Besares

Does anyone have any experience with these (in particular the first and third; TripAdvisor has a lot about Finca Adalgisa)?

The second question is about the wine tours. My fiance and I would like to take a leisurely approach to this; laid-back tour, good lunch, good wine. We plan to hire a driver (through the hotel or a recommendation on this board) but would like some ideas of the best places to go for the more casual drinkers. Any particular advice (and I have read the board, I just want to see if there is anything new) for us?
