The issue is that we are planning on taking some time during the trip and heading somewhere warm, and were thinking Hawaii. The outbound is relatively easy, the problem is the return. DL seems to have zeroed out all upgrades for Thanksgiving week at this point. I mean, there is nothing.

Should we spend the $300-$400 extra, even if we can only confirm the outbound? I find it hard to believe that 2 seats won't come free at some point, but wanted a second (or third...) opinion. We are both Plats, if that makes any difference.
