Hello! I'm so glad I found this thread, I'd like to resurrect it!
I'm going to Tokyo on a limited budget next week with my best friend and we want to take a day trip to Mt. Fuji.
I've seen a lot of online tours like
http://www.jtb-sunrisetours.jp/JTB.S...fCode=TYOOF880 and I was wondering if I could get some help on the self-navigation part. My questions are highlighted in
purple. Thanks for your help!
We basically want to follow about the same Itinerary, go from our hotel in Shinjuku (how convenient!) through to the Kawaguchiko Station operated by Fujikyu and Keio Bus.
I assume that takes us to the 5th station viewpoint?
From there we'd like to take a ferry ride at Lake Ashi which I understand is at Togendi Station.
How do I get to Togendi Station from Kawaguchiko 5th station?
After we get to Togendi station,
I think Kojiri Pier where the ferry takes off is about a 5 minute walk, is this true? And is this hard to find?
The ferry ride is about 15 minutes and we should stop at Hakone-en pier for the Mt. Komagatake Ropeway.
How much is the ferry and the ropeway tickets?
If after the ropeway tour, we'd like to get back to Shinjuku by the same way we got out, do we board at Odawara Station and is that close to the Ropeway and at which stop? We both speak very very minimal Japanese so we'd like to get this planned out before we head out. Please reply if you can!
Thanks!
Crystal
