When the whole CNTU promotion hit, I jumped on the bandwagon and was given Gold Status. I received my card in the mail shortly after. A couple of days after that, I was "targeted" for instant Gold through my Elite status with NW. Thus, I received a ne(different card #, different spelling of name-Bob on the first card, Robert on the second). I called Hilton and they combined my accounts into the second acct (from NW). I recently completed my 4 stays. I began the promo with 6k points and now have 117K. For each stay, I received double the bonus points (5k x 2, 10k x 2, 15k x 2, and 20k x 2). Everything posted promptly and as expected -typical "Conquest 2nd Stay Bonus - 10K type stuff" with the exception of the double posting. I'm at a loss as to why. My only possible (and a weak one at that) explanation is that since I had 2 gold accounts, they posted double-but I didn't have to have 8 stays. I'm looking for some FT expertise for some possible reasons why I got so lucky. Suggestions/explanations?
