If you're sitting in 9BC on the 120, gate checking the bag is almost easier than bringing it on board. It is ready to be claimed when I get off 90% of the time.
^^^ Good suggestion. I never understand why it takes ages for people to get off the aircraft. But the bags get to the gate before people get off the flight.
