I've seen a vast range of people on board over the years, from retired couples from humble backgrounds who are flying F for the first time and clearly having a ball, to Premier card holders in bespoke suits disappearing into 1A never being seen again until landing - and everything in between.

Gambler, just sounds like you had a bad crew on an off-day to be honest. Perhaps you entered through door 2, had to go through WT+ or CW and were obviously not given the F 'escort'? (which is by no means a given).

And no, I have never made an effort to dress up in order to travel on a plane.
